Saranac Thursdays starts in just a few weeks, and I finally got my hands on the live music schedule of bands that will be playing this summer season. As usual it's similar to the years before but remember people its not about the music its about the beer. The music is the background noise of our lives. I think Jerry Garcia said that. Anyway below is the dates and the listing of the bands that will be playing in 2009 at Saranac Thursday's
May 28th - Showtime (DMB Tribute)
June 4th - Crazy Fools (Great Party Band)
June 11th - Gridley Paige (They Are Still Doing this? Break out the eye make-up and ear plugs)
June 18th - The Thang (Lipstick On My Booty)
June 25th - The Bomb (Great Party Band)
July 2nd - Fulton Chain Gang
July 9th - The Custom Taylor Band
July 16th - Chokeslam (Sick Show)
July 23rd - T.B.A. (When is this coming?)
July 30th - The Morning After
August 6th - Wooden Spoon (one of my favs)
August 13th - Dead Rose
August 20th - Under The Gun
August 27th - Dashboard Nixon
September 3rd-Lynch - A Pre-moe.down Throwdown (this band rocks)
Don't forget that after the Brewery kicks you out and shuts its gates go check out the Saranac Thursday after party on Varick Street.
